Decided to take a quick trip to the Florida Keys. Been a dream to fish in the flats of - anywhere really. Flying into the Florida Keys was quite interesting. Kind of felt like Michael Weston getting off the plane, right on the tarmac.
The water - awesome. Crystal clear, you could see 30 ft down to the bottom of the ocean floor. We caught Bonefish, Mahara, Needle Fish, Yellow tail and saw tons of Lobster. All on the fly rod.
Our last stop before heading home was Bahia Honda state park. Stunning water, we could walk for about 1 mile in knee deep clear water. With about 30 minutes before heading to the airport, I threw into a group of Tarpon. Blessed to have been able to catch this guy!
Ready to go back......
